You're half of my soul

Today we stay on the track of deep love with a Min song called Double pillow (first line of the original text).
  1. Translating this to English would have had to subvert the word order, so I chose to translate it to some Chinese dialect, and I doffed Mandarin since "If you're not there" is 3 syllables in Min, 3 in Hakka, and 5 in Mandarin (or 4 at least). So here we go: Min to Hakka; song met sometime in (I think) the summer of 2013 and translated like this summer (summer 2017) just for the blog, 'cos it's too beautiful a song to not have on the blog; note that all the "nga" were originally "ngai";
  2. Way after posting this (which originally had a literal English translation at the end), on Apr 13 2018, I decided I'd give a go at an English version; part of it was done that morning, part of it at 1am, the rest the following evening; 11/4/20 17:22 «Just for you» -> «'Cause of you» -> «Thanks to you»; 12:22 next day «For your sake»;
  3. In the morning of Apr 14, I also did a Czech version (11:28-13:25, last two lines 18:05 and 18:16, original version below), which then was corrected into the present version partly on Apr 26 (13:22 I get the corrected version below, with the "better" option «pro tebe bych unesla/můžu unést/bych mohla unést kteroukoliv tíhu», partly on May 3-4 (tady->tu 22:22 adopted 22:25, osamělá -> samá same timestamp but later, hrubou->teplou is my change done 22:20, the choices of zimy and tíhu are the end of endless discussions I cannot get into, I chose «bych unesla» on 26/4 at 14:13 then «bych unesl» the next day at 7:31 and then «mohl bych nést» on 3/5 at 22:52), partly on July 30 2018 (the choice of the verb moci in place of umět was accepted at 22:45, not sure when the "ty"s were deleted or when "pochopit" was chosen for the last line, probably upon finalizing the end at 22:52); the final Czech version below is found in the 31/7/18 9:40 recap;
  4. Then, in a moment when I'm especially unwilling to work, I just give a shot at a Hindi version, and between 15:48 and 16:36 on 14/10/20 I complete it;
    My original दो सिर वाला तकिया | Do sir vālā takiyā idea for "double pillow" ("two-head" literally) is rejected by ATajuddin in favor of dugnā śirhānā, literally "double", and मैं तो भी अकेली | Maiṅ to bhī akelī actually means "I'm still alone", not "I'm still lonely", so with those corrections, the translation should be done, unless ATajuddin corrects more;
    Well, adding it here on 16/10/20 at 12:00, I think of changing दो सिर वाला तकिया से […] अकेलापन तो भी मुझ में | Do sir vālā takiyā se […] Akelāpan to bhī mujh meṅ to the below form; oh look, «My love's essence», aka «the essence of [me] loving you», maybe we should change दिल जो तुझसे प्यार करता, दिल जो प्यार करता, doing so 12:09; 12:12 अकेलापन मुझ में changes to present form; on 20/11/20 at 15:28 we have «तू है स्रोत, तू है स्रोत | Tū hai srot', tū hai srot' / मेरी प्राण का | Merī prāṇ' kā», at 15:32 «ठंड ही मुझ से | Ṭhańḍ' hī mujh' se», all for rhyming reasons, though at 19:52 I learn the latter should anyway have been «ठंड से डरती | Ṭhańḍ' se ḍar'tī»;
    At 19:58 the correction «कौन ले सकता तेरी जगह | Kaun' le sak'tā terī jagah» reaches me, but that's too short; I propose «तेरि मौजूदगी का स्थान | Terī maujūd'gī kā sthān / कौन ले सकता? | Kaun' le sak'tā», but it gets rejected, then we settled for «कौन तेरी जगह ही/को | Kaun' terī jagah' hī/ko / ले सकता/सकती | Le sak'tā/sak'tī?» at 20:37; at 21:58 I opt for "Tere liye" instead of "Tumhārī liye"; I also decide to make three versions: solo male, solo female, duet; while editing this on 22/11/20 at 12:13 I opt for nā instead of na in the second part, and 12:21 I guess it should be "koī kaśṭ' se" like "ṭhańḍ' se ḍartī";
    Finally, I don't know how I didn't notice before, but «Dug'nā sir'hānā se», «moṭā se», «Merī prāṇ'», «merā rūh' kā» involve case or gender errors; I noted all these way back when, I can't be bothered to look that up now, but on 11/3/23 23:30-something I'll go and fix each of these in all three versions, both Devanagari and romanization.
  5. Then we have the Italian translation, made in the dead of night, between 1:46 and 1:57 on 10/2/21 (i.e. in the night between 10/2 and 9/2); «Ogni peso pōrtar» replaces «Ogni cosa pōrtar» at 17:51 on 3/4/21;
  6. The French version was started in the same night, doing the first part around 2:25, and finished the next morning at 10:23-10:26, with a tweak at 14:42; «Porter je vais» becomes «je vais porter» on 3/4/21 at 18:12;
