Always fought for myself

And we're still on the fighting theme, and back to Min Nan too, with 男人的汗 | Lâm-lîn--ê kuānn, "Man's sweat", but it really should be titled 查埔人的汗 | Tsa-poo-lâng--ê kuānn, given that this is what the song actually says.
In any case, the first record of the song is in Session 15 from 23/6/12, the previous one being from 18/6/12, so I probably met it within that timeframe. It only first appears in the 3/9/12 songs file though, with the below original version of the translation, super-incomplete, and dated to 26/8/12 by the mega-intro.
On 9/10/12, my corrector at the time came to my home, and suggested some corrections, though I believe he also had trouble figuring out the Min. This produced, presumably, the middle mistranslation, which is first recorded in a 17/3/13 mail attachment, and is still incomplete.
This is what remains until blog times. Then, when drafting this post… «oh my, I only translated half of it (the first half), though I did revise it! Is it in my translations notes perhaps? Nope! Well, I'll have to finish it right now, at 11:04 on 11/9/2018, then. Or rather at 11:49 after readying the rest of the post. Let's see what comes out!».
We then have an English remake, which is for now only three lines so IAFI and intro. Here's the IAFI quote: «On 11/8/21 at 0:20, I decide I'm going to remake the English version of this song, and get three lines done: Life brought me to this / Mountain of a place / Where I've found gods too lonely feel».
That quote was mostly to explain the IAFI quote on the French: « Later that night, at 0:34-1:24, I try my hand at a French version, doing half of it». It then takes all the way to 21/11/22 19:12-19:35 before I take this up again and complete it, with a tweak the next day at 13:02. And it took till now, 22/11/22 13:07, to realize "montaigne" is a spello. And now here we are.
So let's see this bad boy.

人称代替:「我 | guá」,就是「我」;
「你 | lí」,就是「你」;「伊 | i」,就是
「他、她、它」;「阮 | guán / gún」,
意思是「我们、不包括你」;「咱」,
就是「咱们」,意思是「我们、也包括你」;
「恁 | lín」,就是「你们」;「亻因 | in」,
就是「他们」。在歌曲里常常只有一个我
和一个你而没有别人,所以「阮」常常跟「我」
一样、「咱」常常跟「你我」一样。
Life has come to this
Placing dear as mounts
I’ve found gods too lonely are
Life looks o’er my head
Wind and clouds do change
Who knows rain oozes
Sweat and blood
Time too fate too
Always helds hands, pieced me up

Lifelong wind, rain
What thing can rub and dry
All this …

Looking to my past

Who knows rain mixed

Time too fate too
Made my life with my two hands

* Life has come to this
Place just like a mount
I’ve found gods too lonely are
Looking to my past
Wind and clouds do change
Who knows rain mixed
Sweat and blood
Time too fate too
Made my life with my two hands

# Out abroad can't find one from my land
I walk alone
For a meal of rice I will
Carry stuff with both shoulders
Once the road walked with me, but now
It laughs at my past
Cannot find a place to stay
Lifelong wind and rain…
Whate'er can wipe it dry,
All this puddle of man's sweat?

La vie, ripide montagne,
Ici elle m'a porté,
La solitude des dieux j'ai trouvée.
En regardant mon passé,
Je vois des tempêtes,
La pluie avec sang et sueur
Est mélangée!
Temps ah! Sort ah!
Avec ces mains j'ai toujours lutté

Loins d' ma terre, je n'ai pas d' copains,
Seul j'm'en vais.
Pour une assiette pleine à manger
Des poids je dois porter!
Maint'nant la rue qui m'accompagnait
Rit d' mon passé.
Je n'sais jamais où m'ancrer…
En cette vie d'tempête,
Qui pourra jamais sécher
Ce sueur qui m'a tout mouillé?
