Today we have an elegiac couplet by Theognis, set to music by Avaton with no respect for meter, vowel quantity, or pitch accent, and translated to English by me. Video here, and the translation dates to 28/2/21 shortly after 3:00. I will refrain from adding a transliteration for the Greek so as to a) avoid the issue of whether to transliterate in Modern pronunciation or Reconstructed Ancient pronunciation, and b) avoid the need for a column-filler, putting English and Greek side by side. The original couplet reads «Οὐκ ἔραμαι πλουτεῖν, οὐκ εὔχομαι, ἀλλά μοι εἴη / Ζῆν ἀπὸ τῶν ὀλίγων, μηδὲν ἔχοντι κακόη.». Let's see!

Earth Angel

Today we have an English to Chinese translation. The song is Earth Angel (aka A fool in love), the one from Back to the Future. I translated it on 25/2/21 in the morning. Apparently I had mismemorized the lyrics, so the below is what I actually translated. I may translate that into another language to fill the column, not sure yet. I also mistranslated the end, so 19:26 27/2/21 你就变目击/让我很快乐的目击 gets fixed. On 15/1/21 at between 10:46 and 10:50, I think of changing 我亲爱的 to 亲亲爱爱. I unfortunately forget about this as I record the song a few hours later.
Wanting a column filler, on 14/6/23 at 12:58 I try French with «Ange sur terre, / Ange sur terre,». I then try Spanish with «¡Oh angel / Sobre tierra!» at 17:17, but I'm not convinced either language can omit the article, so I go back to French with «O ange, / Mon ange!» at 17:19, and right away I think «Will you be mine» after calling her «my angel» doesn't sound very sensible», so I make that «O ange / Sur la terre!». This stays there for a while, even ending up in both languages on IAFI (where I add «Should I be doing Romagnolo for shorter words, or at least for "sôra tërra" to definitely work?» ot the Spanish, having a sentence by grandma in mind for that claim, though maybe the "most + adjective + that there is" of «'e piò grãnd schif ch'u-j sèja sôra tërra» is the reason one can omit the article there?), until on 20/6/23 at 17:33-17:43 I do almost the whole rest of the French (which seems more plausibly possible to complete), forgetting the change in the last part, which I deal with the next day at 12:32 after recapping the translation. With this, Spanish is obviously ditched.
As I edit the video of the French, or as I caption it actually, I realize I not only mistranslated the French, but also misremembered the lyrics. Hence the below tabs, where the Chinese doesn't change at all, whereas the French goes from video version to ≤25/7/25 21:59 "Easy Fix" version, and then to the 25/7/25 21:59 retranslated version in the Correct Lyrics tab.

Oggi altra canzone albanese, Thërrime dashurie, che dà il titolo al post. Il 31/1/21 ho tradotto il ritornello in Italiano, la mattina dopo le due righe finali delle strofe, e poi l'ho lasciata lì per un bel po', finché la sera del 17/2/21 l'ho finalmente ultimata. La traduzione letterale è abbastanza diversa dalla cantabile, perché far stare la traduzione in musica era un macello. La trovate qui in inglese, in italiano forse prima o poi ce la metto. In caso di doppia possibilità, a sinistra per cantante donna e destinatario uomo, a destra viceversa. Per aggiustare la rima sbriciolato/strappata/ingrata nella versione a cantante uomo, il 20/2/21 alle 20:07 penso a «Tenerezza sbriciolata», che nella notte tra 21 e 22 alle 24:13 penso di usare solo nella prima ripetizione, come sotto. Il 3/6/25 alle 0:36 cambio O in Ah davanti a "mio amor", e alle 2:19, dopo registrato il video, cambio Amāt* in Carissim*. Vediamo!

Amica

Oggi canzone albanese, Mike, che dà il titolo al post. Suggerita da nientemeno che la mia relatrice, l'ho decifrata nella seconda metà della settimana che si chiude col weekend 17-18/1/21, e l'ho tradotta nel cuore della notte tra il 19/1 e il 20/1, precisamente tra le 2:47 e le 4:14, con qualche ritocchino il giorno successivo. Devo dire che come ho fatto la parte dei 2000 baci (alias 1000 baci in italiano) non mi convince, prima o poi ci penso. Due note:

• Il testo nel video dice "Ai s'din sa du", "Lui non sa quanto voglio", ma io non capisco cosa c'entri questo "lui" che compare dal nulla in quello che voglio leggere come dialogo tra due vecchi amici separati dalla vita (cfr. i sottotitoli a inizio video, «…ata ishin vetëm dy fëmijë e ishin gjithmonë bashkë» "Loro erano solo due bambini ed erano sempre insieme", «por jeta kishte një mësim të hidhur për ta…» "ma la vita aveva una lezione amara per loro…", and «…ndarjën» "…la separazione", quindi ho deciso di cambiare "ai" (lui) in "vaj" (ahi, o in Spagnolo ¡ay!), e ho tradotto di conseguenza, rendendo sia "din" che "rrin" come seconde persone, cosa perfettamente possibile;
• Sempre per la questione del dialogo tra due, pare assurdo che la "mike", quella che se n'è andata, canti cose come "il giorno che te ne sei andato/a", quindi ho cambiato tutti i verbi alla prima persona, e di sotto ci sono due versioni del testo sia in albanese che in italiano, a sinistra quello per l'uomo, a destra quello della "mike"; adattamenti fatti tra le 15:30 e le 15:50 del 22/1/21, che includono anche trasformare "non tornerai, lo so" nell'attuale "non torni più, lo so";
• Notare che "mike", "amica", è omofono a "m'ike", "mi sei andato/a via", quindi il primo verso è ambiguo;
• Vista la dialettalità spinta della parte rap, avevo fatto un pensiero di tradurla in Romanesco, ma non mi veniva convincente quindi ho lasciato stare.

Merry Christmas everyone! Today I give you White Christmas, a very well-known Christmas carol, which I translated into Chinese on 2/12/20, partly around 10:20, partly around 13:40. Will I fill the column with another translation? Only time will tell. Then around 18 on 14/12/20 I change «我在梦到白色耶诞», «有孩子希望», «跟我每一个耶诞卡», and «愿你的耶诞都白色的» to their current form. On 16/12/20 in the morning I realize the 白圣诞 I'd taken from this video (lyrics and translation here) was actually 雪白圣诞, so I change my «我正在梦到白圣诞» to its current form. Let's see it!

Eh già, ho deciso di farla in Italiano l'intro per questa canzone albanese tradotto in romagnolo. Titolo E vúaj (non "e vwaj", "e vuuuuuaj"), "Ne soffro", tradotta nel cuore della notte tra l'11 e il 12/12/20, precisamente tra le 2:01 e le 2:27, con piccole modifiche la mattina seguente intorno alle 11:45. Poi 14/12/20 13:46 il ritornello «Quãt mêl ch'u-m fa a mè» assume la forma attuale. Non so quando, ma entro il 18/12 il «noooo!» nell'ultima riga della seconda strofa è stato rimosso. Per decifrarla sono partito da qui, traduzione piena di errori e ortografia decisamente meno che stellare, e mi sono aiutato coi miei soliti metodi e con tutto quanto emerso da questa domanda e le sue risposte. Un paio di commenti:

• Il video usa il passato "gjeta" al v. 4, ma io preferisco il presente "gjej", e così ho tradotto.
• Ai vv. 12-13 il sito dice «Thjesht jam ajo / Ty të un^ t^ ndjek nga pas» (Sono semplicemente quella che ti seguirà da dietro), ma questo, oltre ad avere un ordine delle parole che mi sembra decisamente strano (caso mai dovrebbe essere «Thjesht jam ajo / Unë ty të ndiek nga pas»), chiaramente non corrisponde al video, e in effetti il suggerimento emerso dalla domanda di «Thjesht fryma jote / Të më ndjek nga pas», che ho accolto, somiglia assai di più al video.
• Falë suppongo sia il passato semplice aka aoristo di fal, qui usato come "donare, regalare", non come "perdonare", come pensa il sito che mi ha dato il testo.
• "S'e di" può essere sia "non lo so" che "non lo sai" che "non lo sa", io ho scelto "non lo sai" ai vv. 9-10 perché mi sembra la cosa più sensata nel contesto.
• Mi chiedo se si possa leggere «Nuk ka më puthje më as dedikim» come un dativo di possesso alla latina, quindi «Nuk ka (Non v'ha, Non c'è) më (per me) puthje (bacio) më (più), as (né) dedikim (dedizione)»; Aurel su Quora dice di no, e in effetti è una spiegazione un po' fantasiosa, ma altrimenti come si spiega questa strana frase? È solo un "hodgepodge" di parole che dà vagamente un senso? O è una ripetizione di më per enfasi? Boh… Beh Aurel ha fatto una domanda in proposito sull'"Angolo Albanese" (Albanian Corner), vediamo cosa ne esce.
• Fra l'altro forse ka dovrebbe essere ke, «Non hai più bacio né dedizione (per me)»? Bah, forse no.
• E poi dedikim per me è dedizione qui, non dedica, se no dedica de che? Dedizione nel senso di fedeltà, o anche di vicinanza, quindi questo non la bacia più e si sta allontanando da lei.
