Today we have breaking news – so breaking, in fact, that the translation may not be complete. It's a beautiful Cantonese song called 今生今世 | Gam1-sang1 gam1-sai3, "In this life, in this world". I started with the second half (last 4 lines) of the chorus at 10:04 on 16/8/19, then finished the chorus the next day by 18:45, and translated the first 5 lines of the first verse little before 22… and here I am, writing this at 00:13 on 18/8/19, meaning that's all for now. I hope to complete it by the posting date, which is the 20th. As I formated this draft at 0:26, I added another line. 0:42, one more line, and 0:43 I change "I" to "Just" in there. Complete verse 1 by 13 on 18/9/19, do almost all of verse 2 between 21 and 22, then edit it in, and only one line is missing, though the rhymed part is a bit meh. Time to finish this. In the end, I convinced myself that "this whole life through" was fine (compare "We talked the whole night through" here), so I reformulated the first rhyming line a bit, did the last missing line (which was the following one), and the translation was complete by 22:58 on 18/8/19. 22/12/23 12:46 I change For you -> Due to you -> Thanks to you, consequently sending the "give" to the next line for a better tune fit.
